Help us shelter vulnerable kids from the storms of life…

What does a desperate child do while he waits for a sponsor? He thanks God for your “shelter” gift, providing a place of refuge from abuse, poverty, malnutrition, exploitation ¬– even war. We’re doing our best to find sponsors…in the meantime you can help us start them on the road to bright futures while they wait!

Kids Alive in Peru

With its mountains, lakes and ocean views, Peru is beautiful to behold. But you don’t have to look far to see the slums, disease, and starvation—more than half of the population live on less than $2 a day. This leaves hundreds of thousands of children desperately in need of care and destined to repeat the cycle of poverty.

Currently, Kids Alive provides an education, nutritious meals, medical care and the love of Christ to more than 300 children in Peru.

Jon and Wendy Reid

Jonathan and Wendy Reid grew up as missionary kids in Pucallpa, Peru and always felt God would one day call them into full time ministry. After hearing about the needs in Peru, they felt the Lord leading them back to Pucallpa with their three children: Jadon, Carleigh and Claire. The Reid’s primary focus is the startup of the children’s home in Pucallpa. Jonathan assists the area Director while Wendy works with the Child Sponsorship Program and Oansa clubs. Read more
